Funnily enough, it makes sense. If you "compulsively need" someone, then that compulsion takes precedence over the friend, which = no relationship. The relationship itself is defined by the priority you place on it, and putting your own wants and desires first might just end in tears. Or maybe a strongly-worded speech... :)

I totally get this. It's insane until you think about it.. does that make sense? idk,
Yep, I'm with you Toph. The relationship is then also defined by your need for them. This is okay, but to the extent of compulsively? Perhaps not.
