I find Celine Dion's music annoying... I'm sure she's a great person and that she has a beautiful voice, certainly sounds better than I'll ever be able to sound but... I always seem to associate her music with the angst of my life. Don't get me wrong, i do not hate the people who appreciate her music...
Anyway, she's annoying me currently, thus having Brad (Birt) in the background with his guitar is really good. If you wanna listen to him live, he's playing this Sat nite at Norfolk Basement in Freo, launching his album- a few of us are heading down so let us know if you wanna join. It'll be good to see Millsy again- he's percussioning it up so should be mint. if you wanna check out some of his stuff, click on his name (the underlined bit). I really like the song Anyway... so... anyway...
What do you do when you come up against a brick wall. Do you tell the wall, hey I think you're annoying me, do something about it? Sometimes, the bricks listen and they crumble a bit. It always humbles you when the other is willing to listen and take into account what you're saying (it's generally not that nice and is telling them to change something).
Then there's the other kind... who decide they're gonna close in on ya. Suffocate them, make them feel intimidated... that's the only way to get them to see the truth (which by the way is the only correct way... or the way of the brick wall anyway)
Anyway... (yes I'm getting into it) enough musings...
I am on holidays and it's great... missing the kids but not really the lesson plans, work etc. It'll be interesting to not teach for like... til next April anyway when I do my next term prac. Year 8s, 9s and 10s then which should be interesting. Anyone have any good behaviour management tips? Let me know, i'd love to have a chat... a penny for your thoughts... some cheap advice I can afford... i think that's a line out of brad's song cardboard life.
