the air is thick, foggy and smokey... it's not ideal weather for driving, watching the cricket or just being outside. But hopefully there will be more relief in the form of rain (like on Monday arvo where there was just that slight hint of wonderful stuff)
I've been really challenged just on worrying over stuff- sure, I generally think it's legit to be worried but like most times, it generally turns out to be nothing more than my brain working overtime. Matthew 6:25-34 (check out the verses by clicking on the link)
Pretty deep hey? just makes you think... well it certainly made me. I think too much about superficial stuff and it bugs me without me even realising that I'm doing it and wasting time.
My top 5 time wasters (yes my gurls have gotten me on lists)
- Minesweeper - if I'm on the computer, chances are I'll play it at least 20 times
- Internet - if I'm on the computer and not playing minesweeper, I'll be checking email, chatting, updating my blog (yes I've been trying to figure out HTML)
- Watching TV - usually I'm pretty good on this during term time. Cricket's my only downfall then but these hols have been pretty much TV fest esp since we got Foxtel.
- Sleeping - do I love sleeping! I'm glad for holidays especially since I found out that education students at Notre Dame get half the holidays other uni students get (most of my mates started in Nov and go back March while i started halfway thru Dec and restart 31st Jan)
- Just not doing stuff - sure, some people say it's time to chill and hang with yourself... but too much of it isn't great cos as mum says, "there's always so much more to be done".
I guess there's more to life than worrying... is it "normal" cos we're human's or is it just "normal" by the world's standards? We're here on assignment, not here to conform to the world (main idea from The Purpose Driven Life by Rick Warren)
There's enough stuff to think about for the next bit or so... remember... don't worry, be happy... doot doot doo doot doo dooby dooby dooby doo....

I'm officially Anon, because for some silly reason, I can't bLog In... ;) hehe get it? man, eating chocolate and drinking coffee sure makes me witty.
I'd like to add my 5 time-wasters, because making lists is cool and I can think of 5 pretty much straight away.
Here we go...
1.> The internet. If I'm bored, and need something to do, I'll just randomly search the internet. This puts me off doing work, spending time away from the square-shaped box and getting a bit of Vitamin...ummmm...sunshine.
2.> Eating. It is such a waste of time, outside the three square meals a day, and I am muchly over it.
3.> Organizing stuff that should have been organized in the first place. Welcome to my life!
4.> Not having a sink out the front of the office where the coffee machine is. Lots of walking back and forth when I forget stuff, or need to clean stuff, or when Bronno calls me back to her desk when all she has to say is, "I'll talk to you later?".
5.> Making lists! I love doing it, because I feel more organized and I can set myself realistic goals. But, at the same time, I should follow through with those lists, otherwise that is my biggest time waster ever.
