HAPPY NEW YEAR! It's 2005 so I thought it'd be good for a change of scenery... even though this site hasn't been up too long.
Start of a new year, start of a long rebuilding process, with the damage done by the tsunami. Billions of people affected whether physically or emotionally- amazing what can happen from such an event. People are pooling together, joining forces to help alleviate all the destruction, to bring hope to those who have lost everything, from possessions to loved ones. I say good on everyone who's done something to contribute- I'm not condemning those who haven't but I'm sure if they were the victims, they'd love it if others tried to help them get back to a normal life.
It goes to show how fragile life is. That it is important to value each day, and live it as best as you can. Who knows what's going to happen tomorrow. Also, it shows that we aren't in control- that we can't control the weather, what happens to the Earth and all that jazz. Maybe there is someone else in control- an Almighty person/creator perhaps? Yet, why would He allow such a thing to happen if He was a loving God?
