Seafood. See food. Mmmm.

Cooking seafood has always been one of those awkward things for me.  Although I like to think my timing is good (what with being a Maths nerd and guitar geek), I've found that my timing for cooking things like fish and scallops are pretty dismal.

Undeterred, I started off with a batch of seafood.  Yes it was frozen seafood as opposed to fresh seafood but I figure you just gotta roll with the best you can afford.

This time though, I did the smart thing.  Yup.  Miss IT teacher finally googled the best ways to cook seafood.  Wrote down times, got out my iPhone timer, and non-stick pan.

10 minutes later, one plate of very good looking food.  And I can say it tasted as good, if not better than it looked.

I even threw the shells into a pot with onions, garlic, fish sauce and water and brought it to the boil.  Guess what my place smells like now?

That's right.  Penang Prawn Mee.
