When you tell someone that you will stand by them through thick and thin after they have warned you of the impending dangers and difficulties that will have to be faced, yet cop out after because you just "couldn't do it", it's NOT good enough.
I don't care if you can't stand by me but be honest enough to tell me that you either can't do it or that you're struggling rather than pretending all is okay and ignoring me.
I am a person. I have feelings. While I may not be on your priority list, try not to let the pain drag on. It hurts enough as it is.
